Effective communication

Communication is the core foundation of every successful relationship, both personal and professional. This course will help you become an effective communicator by focusing on the non verbal aspects of communication. Words constitute just 7% of the total communication while body language (55%) and vocal elements (38%) constitute the remaining 93%. This course will help you take conscious control of your body and voice to become an effective communicator. The body language module will focus on movement, posture, gesture, eye contact and facial expressions. The vocal elements module will focus on volume, pace, pause, fillers, tone and modulation.

English Grammar and Writing, for Grown ups

A course designed by Ptenopus to introduce ‘grammar’ and ‘writing’ both conceptually and practically in five parts: “What is Writing?”, “Starting to Write”, “Introduction to Grammar”, “English Grammar” and “Improving your Writing.” Additionally, Ptenopus offers insights into self-editing, collaborative writing/editing, form experimentation/adaptation, and ends with a how-to on submitting/blogging your work to/on the right platforms. Through the course, Ptenopus hopes to promote a healthy and sustained writing practice—for its incalculable benefits to our being.

This course will have 4 modules:

Self Leadership - Exploring values, strength, weaknesses, areas of interest to build self confidence and self-esteem through self-reflection.

Problem Solving - Being able to solve problems is a valuable skill in any career. Approaching by identifying problems, evaluating situations and creating win-win solutions.

Leadership - Leadership skills are essential in any career. Learning how to be an effective leader, we will navigate by discussing and exploring topics like work identities, responsibilities, decision making, conflicts at workplace.

Professional Etiquette - Developing professional etiquette is essential for creating a good impression in the workplace. Dressing etiquette, maintaining a positive attitude, behaving professionally.

It's important during this stage to demonstrate you are reliable and professional, along with being dedicated to becoming a new member of the company you are applying for.
